Two of my Santas were featured in the Winter Issue of Art Doll Quarterly.

2011 – Come visit me at Village Artisans Gallery the first Sunday in December from noon – 4pm where I will once again be their demonstrating “Artist In Action” for their annual Holiday Open House.

2010 -  On Sunday, December 5th, I will once again be the “Artist In Action” at Village Artisans Gallery in Boiling Springs, PA during their Holiday Open House. Stop by and watch me demonstrate how I sculpt a Santa head and see the special limited edition piece I created just for the Open House. Additional Holiday events will be going on through-out Boiling Springs, including the lighting of the Christmas Tree on Children’s Lake.

On Monday, December 13th, will be featured along with PJ Heyman, owner of Village Artisans, on FOX 43 “Morning Show”. Tune in if you are in the Harrisburg, York, Lancaster, PA areas.

I was one of the many Santa artists featured in the November 2010, issue of the Canadian Doll Artists Association newsletter “Celebrations”.

A Troutman Originals Facebook Page was launched.

2009 – I am excited to be the “Artist in Action” at Village Artisans gallery on December 6th from noon – 4:00 pm in Boiling Springs, PA. I will be introducing a new piece for this event.

2008 – My santas were featured in the holiday issues of Doll Reader, Contemporary Doll Collector and DOLLSmagazines. I was also thrilled to be featured on the cover of the December issue of Doll Crafter & Costuming magazine and have a feature article about my Santas in Miniaturas, a magazine about dolls and miniatures published in Spain. One of my Santas was also featured in the 2008 Figurative Art Calendar for the month of November.


2007 – I created “Big Bear Christmas”, my largest Santa to date.

I couldn’t resist taking a picture of me sitting by Big Bear Santa before shipping him out!

I was also featured in the November/December issue of At Home magazine, a quarterly publication produced by Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s newspaper “The Patriot News.” Click here to see the article.

One of my Santas was also selected to appear in the book 500 Handmade Dolls, published by Lark Books. My Santas also appeared in the holiday issues of UK’s Doll Magazine, Doll Crafter & Costuming, DOLLS, Contemporary Doll Collector, and Doll Reader magazines. I was also once again the guest artist at Third Street Gallery in New Cumberland, PA for the months of November and December.


Diane appeared on HGTV’s “That’s Clever” (formerly “Crafters Coast to Coast.”) Her two segments featured her creating one of her Santas and a Jack-In-The-Box Elf.

2005 – Looking back, 2005 was another eventful year. In August, Diane won “Best of Show” for “Where’s Charlie?” at the Enchanted Doll Artists Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Diane was also fortunate to be chosen by HGTV to be featured in two segments for their show “That’s Clever” airing in late November and early December.

Troutman Original Santas once again appeared in the December 2005 issue of Doll Crafter, the Holiday 2006 issue of DOLLS magazine and the January 2006 issue of Contemporary Doll Collector.

Again this year Diane is the feature artist at 3rd Street Gallery in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania for November and December.

Diane participated in the Gallery at IDEX hosted by NIADA in Orlando, Florida, on January 26, 2006. She created a special one-of-a-kind Santa for that exhibition.

Diane was also invited to participate in the Magnum Opus Show at Divine Studio in New York City on February 11, 2006, creating three spectacular one-of-a-kind pieces for that show.

“Where’s Charlie?” is the first in Diane’s “Christmas Mischief Series.” In this vignette Santa is getting ready to go and he is almost ready, but someone is missing. Has anybody seen the new elf named Charlie?


2004 was an exciting year for Troutman Originals. In January and February, Troutman Originals participated in several successful wholesale shows allowing Troutman Original Santas to be available in shops across the country.

In April, Diane was accepted as a Juried Member to the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen an din August Diane was invited to become and became a member of the Original Doll Artists Council of America.

For the month of November and December Diane will be the guest artist exhibiting at 3rd Street Gallery in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. She will appear in person there on Saturday, November 20th. Contact Diane for more details.

Troutman Original Santas were featured in the December issue of Doll Crafter magazine and the January issue of Doll Reader. Diane’s Santas were also pictured in the January 2005 issue of Contemporary Doll Collector and the Holiday 2005 issue of DOLLS.

In December, Diane will begin designing new Santas for 2005, which will be introduced at the Heritage Market of American Crafts on February 4th and 5th in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Please check the website in January for new handsculpted artist editions for 2005 along with new one-of-a-kinds.

For the second year Diane created a unique window display for Christine’s Chocolate Creations in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
