In this three-day
(or optional four-day) workshop, polymer clay artist, Diane Troutman
will teach you her Santa making process to create your very own 25"
Father Christmas similar to the Santa she created on the HGTV
television show "That's Clever". The first day will focus on
sculpting a Santa head. The second day you will learn how to sculpt
hands over a wire armature. The third day will be spent creating a
robed style canvas body, attach the hands and complete and attach the
Santa's head (note: this style of Santa does not have legs). Diane
will also demonstrate her bearding techniques and provide patterns for
costuming your Santa at home. On an option fourth day you will create
your Santa's costume including a robe, gown and hat and have the
opportunity to beard your Santa. No prior sculpting experience
required. Sewing will be done on the optional fourth day of the
workshop.
